Hi, this is my first post in this forum, soooo Hi! again .
I bought a new XPS 15 with a 150€ discount they offered in my country a couple of weeks ago, plus the 10% student discount, quite nice IMO.
The thing is, I am running with some issues from day 1, and I don't really know if I should return it or not, so wanted to ask for opinions.
    My issues so far:
    - Left speaker rattle with high volumes (Just like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZqRCxiPlNM )
    - Screen flicker in low brightness
    - Screen not properly aligned (Yeah, weird. It's not much, but you know, once seen, never forgotten) Pics: http://imgur.com/a/jc9jq
What do you think? I don't know if I should return it as it seems that most of these issues are pretty common and I wouldn't want to return it just to get another one with the same or worse issues uh

I would return it... if only one of those issues maybe not, but in combination I would return.

Ask for a brand new replacement and refuse an engineer visit for so many issues.

Well I just called them and it seems like I can't ask for a new unit, what I can do is ask for a refund, and buy a new one again, but I would lose the discount I got if I do that.
And he told me that chances are that even if an engineer comes and changes my speaker and my screen, the issues will still be there soooooooooooo don't know what to do anymore. I really like the computer, but it kinda piss me off that after paying 1500€, there are these kind of issues with the computer

sorry to hear about your issues. I would 100% return it if mine shows up next week and has those problems. You spent lots of hard earned money on the top of the line product that dell offers. It better be damn near perfect.

Ask for the manager then ask the manager to get you put through to the resolutions team as the people who answer the phone can't put you through. Tell them you want it replacing.

I ended up accepting the engineer repair, if he can't fix it, ill ask for a replacement. If that doesn't work, well, I hope the screen missalignment won't drive me crazy lol

Word of warning, check it isn't a used part, if so refuse the repair.

    My first post here!

I just received my new XPS 15 and to my dismay, I had the same problem with the screen being misaligned (looks pretty much identical to your photos). I just wanted to ask about how the repair/replacement process is going. Did the engineer repair work? Did you end up sending it back and purchasing it again?

    Thanks!

Well, the technician came to my house and changed my speakers (which didn't fix the issue btw) and it seems like he had no idea that my screen had problems. The support person I spoke to didn't inform of that problem, so I have to call again a schedule another repair for the screen, let's see how it turns out.

Oh man, that's really annoying; good luck with the screen repair. I think I might just send mine back for a refund and purchase it again and see how that goes. Keep us up to date with how yours is going and I'll do the same!

    Thanks for responding so quickly!

That's what I wanted to do, but I got mine with a 200€ discount, which I would lose if I asked for a refund sadly

There's currently a 10% off sale that you could see if it's applicable to your specification - if you got a model that's around 2000€, that discount would be very similar? The coupon code is "FLASH" for UK/FR/etc. and "TENOFF" for USA.

@MisterFu: I just called Dell today and sent the agent photos (similar to the ones you posted on Imgur) with the problem. Since it was within 30 days of purchase, they're sending me a replacement (they confirmed, twice, that it would be a new machine, not a refurbished one) at no cost. Just wanted to let you know in case it might be helpful.

Otherwise, best of luck with the repairs!
