Ships on 4/9 and can't wait!!!

    Specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T9550(2.66GHz/1066Mhz FSB/6M L2 Cache)
    4GB, DDR3, 1067 MHz 2 Dimm forXPS 1640
    16:9 1080p FullHD RGBLED LCD W/2.0 MP
    ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3670 - 512MB
256GB Dell High Performance Solid State Hard Drive, 2.5MM

Do you guys recommend installing a standard version of Vista without any bloatware or is the Dell install okay? Also, does anyone know the approximate weight of the machine I purchased?! Thanks!

I'm envious of your SSD config...

Dell Singapore is offering the 128GB SSD (with the 1640) only, for about US$850 more!

The Dell XPS image has a lot less bloatware than I expected. So I doubt you will need to perform a reimaging. And if you decide to, the restore disc for the OS is a clean version, no built in Dell stuff at all.

I just uninstalled a few apps. Its very low on the bloatware count.. esp. compared to my Sony, which is terrible. As Joelist mentioned, if you do a clean install, you will have to go to the Dell site and reinstall all the 1640 specific apps manually.
