I ordered it on 6/16 and received it today. Awesome timing, but of course the OS cd was not included. I called up and they are sending me a disc, should be here by Friday. Reviews to come... but i'm very impressed- definitely a step up from my 2007 Vostro 1500!!!

Nice! I too came from a vostro (1700) and I have to say quite an upgrade. I still use my vostro as a server though. Hope you're as happy with your SXPS 16 as I am! :)

Edit: Mine too didnt come with discs, but a short form fill out online and I got them to send me some.

I am pretty sure that the form you filled out was for the restore disc, no? I requested a windows 7 install disc yesterday, and NOT the RESTORE disc which the lady was first going to do to me, and she wanted me to fill a some form also....

The next rep I got pushed to, that was the correct dept., just asked me what address to ship the windows 7 disc to and that was all.......

Anyways, I hope you get the fresh install disc and not the restore as it has all the bloatware.......

Filling out the form online will get the following sent to you:

I actually got 3 CDs though - the resource disc was sent, too, even though it was not listed.

The Dell branded Win7 disc is the same as retail, except it puts the Dell branding on the computer in the System control panel applet and you do not need to activate or enter a key.

Quick question-- when I reformat and install the drivers, should I stick to the driver that Dell has most recently put out for the ATI card (dated 4/xx/2010) or download the most recent one from the ATI website?

This is my first ATI chip, I was used to the backward way of downloading NVIDIA mobile drivers :)

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I would go with ATI... Dell could be a little behind sometimes.. It won't hurt it : )
