Hello guys,
after a lot of troubles and two replacements made because of faulty previous screens I finally got my LG WSXGA+ screen. First impression is "unbelievable", it's gorgeous screen with only one little problem- it has slightly noticeable light bleeding at bottom (I think there isn't exist screen without it at all)
After that I noticed that it is a little bit dimmer than my previous LG WXGA+ (I think because 200 vs 220 nits, what do you think?)
Ant then I went to control panel and saw it is LPL0000 instead of LPLF300,
So what do you think about this part number? Although the screen is really beauty.
-
If you think the screen is beautiful, I'd be happy with it and move on. It's very good already that you don't have stuck pixels...
-
Thanks man!!! I just want to collect some opinions about this part number (If i remember right it was LP154WE2- TL (A3)
-
I believe that's an LG you got!
If it's working for you....enjoy it!!LG's are superb screens..
Cin -
how many of you have back light bleeding's on your screens?
-
I have had my 1530 for a year and have never experienced any *bleeding* whatsover.
Are you now having probs' with your newest screen?
Cin -
No bleeding here. I have the LPLF300 (LG Part number is LP154WE2-TLB2) and its awesome. It has one stuck pixel which isn't really an annoyance; hopefully it will eventually become re-energised and start working, but I can't be bothered fiddling with it now.
-
can you post some pic on your screen working in dark room?
-
My screen is also an LPL0000, and I guess I would call it a dimmer than my previous screen, but it's easily the best notebook display I've had for gaming.
Try setting Digital Vibrance 45-60%, Contrast and Gamma at 45%. -
Thanks mate, Gamma on 45% helped...
Joeytav, please give me some photos -
Joe, please show me photos of your LPLF300, please!
-
Don't have a camera on me just now I'm afraid, I'm going home tomorrow so I'll do it then.

Hi guys, I want ask you- do you think that this bleeding is pretty normal, I don't think it's a big deal, but want some of your opinions!

That's absolutely normal. You are not going to see that using your notebook for normal purposes, unless staring at an all black screen is normal for you, in which case you will see it.
I went through the rigmarole to get an LG screen, too. They are very nice, way better than the other models used at the time. It's unbelievable that that there can be so much difference and Dell and some customers don't seem to notice. -
But if you do decide to play a game on it and have a particularly dark scene (i.e. a dark corridor or alley, or a graveyard scene) you will notice it IMHO.
I personally wouldn't be happy with that, but each to their own. When I pay $xxx for a laptop. i want it to match the price that I pay. -

LG screens are pretty good.

Its basically up to your if its something that's bothering you or not - the bleed doesn't really look bad imo.
-
thank you!!!! anybody else?

In real use actually looks like that:
I don't know, it is very strange...when I turn my PC on, there is not ANY light bleeding anywhere, but after 20 min. work it appears like this...very strange...Attached Files:

just curious, where did you get your WSXGA+ screen from?
-
This bleeding is absolut normal. When do you use a complete dark screen?
Even on my LED screen I see a similar bleeding when I turn the screen completely black. -
