Just got a Dell Studio XPS 1645

Love it first of all! But the metal band around the edge and top shock me. I called Dell and they're going to send me a new one. But when they sent me the e-mail confirming my order some stuff wasn't there or replace with something else. I'm gonna call them tomorrow & tell them about it (since my new xps is still "In Production") and what it has or is missing.

They gave you some nice upgrades. Everything else seems identical. You must return your old machine in order to transfer your warranty onto the new machine.

i just got my replacement in the mail. they seem to be being awesome about it.

i went from i7 to i5. i found i didn't really need the quadcore.

in exchange for that they gave me 6GB ram from 4GB, upped my screen to 1080p from 900p, the video card 4670>5730(obviously) made my BR rom into a writer, gave me bluetooth and upped me from intel 5300 to 6200.. =D.

 

Awesome trades, I'd say.
