The laptop has the Synaptics TouchPad driver already installed it works fine. I prefer using a mouse so I bought a Logitech M310 wireless mouse. When I go to devices and right click the mouse icon then click mouse settings I get a sound and then a message that says Unable to the connect Synaptics pointing device driver & that if I have another PS/2 pointing device driver please uninstall Synaptics driver by clicking yes button.

The thing is I did not install any other device driver. My wireless mouse has a USB attachment that I put in the USB port and thats it. The reason I'm talking about this is because twice today M mouse went dead and I had to restart my laptop to get it to work again and today is the first day I started to use my new laptop so I wondering if theres a confilict between the Synaptics driver and my mouse ?

If I do uninstall my Synaptics driver will the touch pad on the laptop still work ?

By the way I do have the latest Synaptics driver.
