    Hey all,

Just got my M1330, very impressed, but a few questions for a newbie...

    1. Windows security keeps asking permission for everything, how do I turn that off?

    2. I cannot get into my wireless network. Wireless is enabled, I have an 802.11b router, but wont let me on, and cannot repair...any ideas? I checked device manager, the wirless card is working

    3. I got a 2.0GHz, 2GB ram, but the laptop is still kinda slow. I uninstalled Works, PC Chillin, Google toolbar and desktop, any ideas?

Anything else I should do to this laptop for optimal use? Please keep in mind I am a newbie and don't want to mess anything up.

    Thanks,
    Dan

What wireless card do you have? I have the "Intel 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini" card and have not been able to get it to work with my B router. Other people on this board have said that it should work because it is backward compatible. But, this has not been the case for me. I even called Dell and they told me that it wouldn't work with B.

For now, I am "borrowing" a neighbor's G signal... but, I will be buying an N router very soon.
