Hey guys, just telling you about my experience. So I get my refurb and it seems to wobble pretty badly. And on top of that the buzzing lcd screen is pretty annoying. So I figure, this will be easy to get fixed. Well I called Dell support and was literally transferred between 10 different people and only one was helpful who even gave me her number if I still needed getting help to fix the problem. Well 2 hours later after arguing, they agreed to replace the base and lcd screen. Hopefully all goes well during the future. And to top things off I turn on the laptop and install GPU-Z only to find out that my my GPU hovers at around 70-80C. Pretty damn hot... I really wanted to get a replacement instead and the helpful lady said that they definitely would do that for me, but then she had to leave me with the supervisor whom was unhelpful.
On a different note, this forum has been extremely helpful and the members here are always actively posting. I will definitely try and contribute in the future to this forum.

sorry for your troubles you are having with your 1330!
It's sounds like you should just get a replacement..vs. having to go thru all of this. Especially after just receiving it. Well, if their *fixit* doesnt work..I hope that they would replace it for you.
I don't care whether its brand new or a refurb...you just paid $$ for a notebook and these things shouldn't happen..(my *feisty* side coming out) LOL...
And welcome to the Dell forum...Tis a nice place to be

Thanks, glad to be here. And I got the 8400m gs video card. I am going to go to Home Depot tomorrow or something and look for a 1.5mm thick sheet of copper to make that insert in between the GPU and heat sink. Some customer service are extremely uncooperative. They absolutely refused to do a replacement unless the box was damaged and the laptop was physically damaged.

Well, sounds like they were not willing to *budge* on this..
I hope that it works for you & good luck to you!
Still, it's not really fair -
Yeah, that is not right. My wife's 1330 with the 8400 is around 63* at idle.
That shim will void your warranty.

My 1520 with the 8600 idles at 49C and never gets above 80c
I'd hold off on the copper mod until everything gets sorted out with it ... Dell will void your warranty for that most likely.
Just got my M1330 and must say a little disappointed.
