    I love it so much!

When my gf saw it on my desk she saw the XPS logo on the cover upside down and thought it said ***, which i can see why she thought that.

    4gb ram
    2.4 duo
    LED 1440 by 900
    250gb 7200rpm
    8600gt 256mb
    black
    intel wireless

    for $1240

I did not get extra like earphone and pads, I got the case and thats all. Should I call and maybe receive something back? It came with the A09 bios.

Any nice vista tweaks or tips you guys can give me? I am new to vista.

My 1530 came with the dock that came with studio laptops.

    Is this 16:9?

    THanks guys

Hey! Congrat's on being a new 1530 owner, and welcome to the family ;) :)
    You will enjoy it :)

Here are some Vista guides that Les put together, and they work great! I used them on my 1530 when I received it, and it was a *simple and easy process*.

As for the earbuds and pads, give Dell a call and advise you didnt receive these with your order...and see what they can do to accomodate! If they are good, they will just send these to you at no charge... ;) :)

Good luck to you, and Congrat's again

    Cin ;) :)

Congrats on your new XPS! In regard to your question of it being 16:9 aspect ratio, it not. It's wide screen but quite 16:9.

Wait its not 16:9? If I'm playing a game and video settings ask, 16:9, 16:10 or 4:3 which do I choose?

Does someone know how to get around the security of photoshop cs3?
    For non illegal use.

I want to make a sick sig like you guys now.

Heh, welcome to the family :)

To get around the security of CS3, buy it :)
Or wait until CS4 and buy that...

    :)

then again, congratulations on your 1530.

    1400x900 is actually a 16:10 ratio. (approximately)

Centrino is just a marketing thing that means your system has certain Intel, CPUs, motherboard chipset and wireless card. The Duo CPU is part of that.
