    I just installed the new IDT audio driver, and now whenever I play anything that has sound, I get the noise that you hear when you flip to one of those static TV channels where nothing is broadcasting. It's that loud SHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound. I seriously have no idea what's going on here.

    Try to go to control panel > sounds and disable the other 2 outputs besides Speakers/Headphones.
