    Hey guys,

Just ordered an M1530 for myself. For some reason it says I ordered it with Bluetooth but it wasn't supposed to come with it I don't think. Invoice says it does though and I wasn't charged extra for it. So if it comes with it then happy days. It feels like a lot of money to spend on a laptop even though I haven't spend anywhere near as much as most people. I'm sure it will last me for ages though which is cool!

I don't think I got a much better than average deal but the Bluetooth is worth £30 quid if I do get it. At the time I did think I would prefer to have it but couldn't justify £30 for it. Will be convenient for synching my phone!

Nice, although you might wanna consider getting a warranty upgrade, because dell laptops have the bad habit of failing :p

if you allready ordered it dont worry , you can buy more coverage while your computer is still on its warranty period. ( i think you can do so by calling dell or on the dell page)

    Best of luck!

lol nah I won't tell them.

I nearly went for the 2.4 Ghz T8300 as it was £30 to upgrade but I knew if I took that approach I would end up bumping the price up too much. The only reason I was tempted was for games but realised the 8600M GT will be the factor holding it back and not the CPU. The 2.1 Ghz will blitz my current Acer in all my usual apps.

Only games that will be played on this are HL2 and more specifically DOD:S on weekends that I am away from my PS3 and even then only if I get bored.

Probably going to sell my current laptop to make some money back but doubt i'll get more than £100 for it! lol.

Why sell it back? It should last you for a long while already. You shouldnt buy a laptop if you have the intention of selling it in a short period of time.

I mean sell my Acer. It's about 2 years old now and will just take up space.

Did you think I meant sell the new Dell?

Cool. I'm hoping should be able to max out DOD:S and also be able to play on low-medium some COD4 maybe.

As my current Acer is a single core 1.8, will the fact the Core 2 Duo is a dual core CPU make much difference or is it just like having the same processoe but with a higher clock speed?

Can't wait to upgrade to vista too, I do love XP and i've kept it quite a while but it's time to move on.

You will notice huge differences. Literally.

Theres a lot more than "clock speed" theres FSB, Power Consumption, theres really so much thats improved you seriously can't just say that "clock speed" is the only improvement... that is very laughable.
