Oh..that's right. You can prob's call a Rep sometime tomorrow and get the ESD also.

I've seen builds a little bit cheaper. Maybe, some owners of the 1640, can also chime in here for you! :D

Remember, the waiting is the hardest part. But once you have it..it will have been well worth the wait!

I'm in the same boat, just waiting and waiting and waiting!!! I ordered mine on the 12th. It's been in the "boxing" stage since yesterday. If I'm VERY VERY lucky, I'll get it Friday, but I probably have a long weekend of more waiting ahead haha.

I really can't wait to get this thing. I'm hoping none of the "bad" things that I've heard talked about really bother me. I'm especially interested to see how the RGBLED screen is.

I heard that to. But it dosent really bother me what people say i will form my own opinion about it when i get it. But im gonna be using my tv as a monitor when at home anyway. But i had to get the 1080p screen becasue i like my space :p

I agree about forming your own opinion. That's why, even after reading that whole thread about the RGBLED screen, I still ordered my SXPS 16 with it. I'm sure we'll both be pleased with it!

I purchased a SXPS 1340 at BestBuy last Monday, and I have waited for my 4th exchanged lappy. All of them have 3 tiny dust under the screen, and one of them has a defective space bar!

I also buy a Targus chil pad, a Logitech Nano VX and a Logic case attache case for my new lappy.

I thought I saw a few posts in the 1640 thread, that they had ordered a sleeve/or case for the 1640 direct from Dell.

Hoping someone can chime in, on this also!

Where do you live? I'm in Vancouver and I got a ESD right away after I ordered it. I don't think anything is back ordered unless it's the LED screen since that's the only thing that I added.

Not really ive got the m1330 right now and its awsome. Only a little heat issue but its fine. Because you got unlucky dosen't mean you have to be sour.

not sour at all... just recommend extending your warranty. i own 4 dell computers and have owned 10 others. some great and needed no or little repair, but lately all the newer ones i have bought are just terrible, and need constant repair.
