    Just ordered the updated XPS 1730.

    * 17" WUXGA Widescreen (1920x1200) with 2M built-in webcam
    * Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 2.8GHz, 800 MHZ FSB, 4MB Cache (overclockable to ~3.4GHz)
    * 4 GB 667MHz RAM
    * 2x200GB (7.200 RPM) in RAID-0
    * DUAL 8800M GTX SLI graphics
    * Ageia PsysX Processing Unit Card

    I will fire up some benchmarks when i get it and let you all know how it performs :)

    you should have waited for the m17x it would have been cheaper :)

    Yeah it was 3,326.99 EUR or 4,953.60 USD.

    I even had around 200$ discount on top of the already 800$ thats availible until the 13th of february by calling in and asking for a better price.

    But, I still think this configuration will be more expensive (in Europe!) in the M17X (which I originally wanted but can't be bothered waiting for it to come to Europe).

    Alienware is much more expensive than Dell, you made the right choice to purchase the m1730, it is a beast... well at least yours is, with the 8800GTX SLI lol

    Im asuming you got it in the states, altought the rate exchange is right, for us, europenas, it would be 4953 euros or so... because for 3326 you only get t7500 120gb 2gb ram... XD

    Nope, I bought it in Denmark and the expected delivery date is the 27th of February :)
