Just ordered: M1330

8400 GS, T5850, 250gb HDD, 2gb RAM. Just a basic laptop that might be used for light gaming in the future.

Now we'll see how long it takes to get here.

yeh i am also waiting for my XPS M1330 will be getting in 2 or 3 days.

placed order on 11th Aug. EST Delivery date : 20th Aug. But already ship from factory on 12th Aug. so i hope will get it today.

Hey mine has been in the "order-processing" stage all day... should I call them and see what's up?

Order Processing: This stage is generally Dell procuring payment. For instance, the first day my order stayed in Order Processing because I forgot to up my limit on my credit card for this order (it has a daily limit for saftey). Once I received their e-mail letting me know my card did not go through, I called them and the next day my order immediately went into the "In Production" stage.

Your order is probably being approved ~ financing, etc.. and once it clears that it will go into the Production stage...I'm sure it wont take that long.

But you can call Dell and ask where it sits, and how long it will be in this stage. Or, check your status online or via the toll free number they gave you.

How did you pay for the 1530? May I ask..if it was by Credit Card..that maybe why it's in this stage still

Aaah yes...they may very well be getting final approval..Mine was paid this way, also and I remember (back in 1/08)...that I called to see why it still sat in this stage...And it gave them a *nudge*, so it was moved out of this stage soon after that!

 

It would be nice if I could nudge them to build it faster too.

I made payment by CC so it got cleared in few mins. and Now Dell have Manufacturing unit in India so it's batter then before. last week i placed order for inspiron 530 desktop and i got it with in 6 days.

 

Can we say S W E E T!!!! That is just awesome You, are indeed..lucky

Not lucky really.... last year when i purchased Inspiron 1720 it took 40 days lolz...
i never got any smooth running product from dell. I have done lot of replacements in each dell products i buy.... they always send me faulty stuff

 

I also ordered on the same day, but my Est. Delivery Date: 9/10/2008-9/12/2008 ...Is it because I order from the EPP program? or the LED screen???

 

Guys mine is almost here...

11th August - Placed order
12th August - Ship From Factory
14th August - Delivered (Actually it is with local courier but spoke on phone they will deliver system in 1 hour.)

so total 4 Days! isn't it good?

Well, I called Dell, and it looks like they declined my first order because I made a payment by check (For my Inspiron 1720) that took to long to process. The check cleared after my order for the M1330 was placed. Anyway, I reordered and this time I ordered the M1530. I did because I may be doing some gaming this year, and the M1530 is still pretty portable.

 

i have recived my M1330 today evening. and i am really sad.

packing was worst...

no sleeve cover for my laptop....

no leather wallet for CDs

AC adapter is loose. not evn in plastic cover. looks like they sent me some used one.

no 24 hours cutomer care numbers provided.

and big problem. build quality is worst. left side cover (over Esc button) is out and not having fitting at all.

on screen DELL frame (bottom one where u see dell logo) is also not fixed. too much space between frame and screen. you can put your finger inside it and inside cercit is visable.

i really don't want this system.... i want my refund...

i am really sad. some one please provide me 24 hours customer care number for india. we have 3 days off here.
