Just want to know, Does this configuration justified for $2195.98 ???
-
You are sick.
-
@URPradhan - Nah I wouldn't justify that much. Maybe if you included the i7 620, RGBLED and an SSD.
@pittsgutta - Congrats on the purchase, I hope it's worth the wait. You got a decent deal, especially with those 4 blu rayswere they a deal breaker?
And the white is gorgeous! Enjoy -
The only thing I wish I could have got was the RGB LED. I used to own the 1640 and loved the RGB LED. The 256GB SDD for $225 more was not justifiable for me.
What do ya'll think about this case deal though:
*CLEARANCE* Mandarina Duck Top - Zip Slim Brief, fits laptops up to 15.6in. - Designed for Dell : Laptop Accessories | Dell -
kezuk12 the hardest decision was the color, lol. My 1640 was Black w/ Leather. I was only hesistant with the white because being afraid it would fade over time. I really wanted white though. When I bought my old XPS 1530, a month later the white came out and I was pissed! I bought a skin-it to try and resemble it,lol. Then, when I bought my 1640 white wasn't offered and a few months later white came out!!!!! So I couldnt let the leather stop me! How good does it really look bro?

Well after looking at about a million pictures of the white I finally took the plunge thinking it looked gorgeous, but my expectations were exceeded when I unboxed! It's really something special! I couldn't get over how good the leather felt for a while
I won't touch the leather now unless my hands are super clean, I just don't want it to fade at all. 2 months in and so far so good! -
My white leather needs a touch up after almost a year of use
-
I would have held out for the ATI HD5xxx to come out on the 1647, that or get the 1645. i7 + HD 5730 is a better system. I've used both the 1645 and 1647 and the 1645 can handle demanding tasks a lot better especially with the SSD. That machine to me is not worth $1400.
-
Muscle Master your white is fading after a year?
-
Wonder if I can use something like this:
-
check my sig:
i'd say the price is fair for ur system with 3 y cc warranty. -
the 3 year service w/ CC is $398 without discounts. It's worth it to me. I had a screen replacement on my 1640 (RBG LED) and it would have cost me about $800. You are in idiot if you don't get atleast 2 Years w/ CC.

Just pulled the trigger on my Dell Studio XPS 1647
