    Hi everyone,

I just received my XPS 16 with the RGBLED 16" edge to edge screen. First impressions are that the screen is 1000 x's better than the Studio 17 I just returned. Sadly, I'm going to miss my XPS M1710 17" screen, as the new XPS 16 seems so much smaller.

Now for my question and concern.. I think they may have sent me the wrong screen! I've been searching the internet but can't seem to find a photo of the 16" edge to edge screen.

Maybe I just pictured something different.. but this is what it looks like:

Is this the edge to edge 16" screen?

Take a look at this picture. It is edge to edge, except at the metal hinges.

Edit: If you're talking about the screen picture itself, look at what Zswickliffe wrote.

It isn't an edge to edge screen, it is edge to edge "glass." In other words, there is no lip where the screen turns into the bevel like almost all screens, instead there is just one solid sheet of plastic covering it all.

Trust, me the colors are definitely worth paying for, i've had 3 different screens, the old 1366x768, an RGB LED and a WLED, the RGB wins every time

The RGB-LED is definitely the best laptop screen out on the market hands down. When I look at my friends laptop screen, it makes me disgusted after being spoiled with this. The colors (after calibration), quality, etc are just amazing. One of the main reasons I got this laptop -- the SCREEN! Its definitely worth the investment

Can anyone confirm if the screen is covered with a piece of glass or a piece of plastic?

This. Try pressing the screen slightly in the middle (not very hard, obviously).
