Hey folks, I ordered a kaby lake XPS13 with touchscreen which I'm getting tomorrow. The last couple of days I've been reading about it (probably should have done that before I ordered) and I'm reading at how hard it is to keep the carbon fiber interior and trackpad clean. From what I've read you don't have to be eating over it for it to get messy looking pretty fast. One review said it looked like he had eaten fried chicken on it, lol.
I'm wondering if those of you have found this to be the case, and if you do can you recommend what to use to keep it clean. Thanks.

It's not hard to clean, just hard to keep it that way. Just use a damp towel.

Water and a microfiber cloth. The grease comes from your fingers so you can't avoid it. The other option is to never touch the screen and just use the touchpad, I admit that is what I do with my XPS 15.

Correct. I NEVER eat and use my laptop and mine still gets the grease from my hands/fingers. There is no way to prevent it. I just clean it every so often like you said and that does the trick.

The real problem is a touchpad. It just get dirty, no matter what you do and how often did u clean it. I get rid of it by installing dBrand skins.

The real problem is very poor design by Dell. The surface material on the latest Alienwares are actually even worse, believe it or not. I wonder what laptops Dells employees use.
