I have a problem on my xps M1530, that sometimes when i am typing the mouse pointer automatically moves backwards or opens another window that ihave minimised, even though i am not touching the mouse pad.
it's really annoying as sometimes I don't realise it happens and it ruins what i was doing.
It seems to automatically move the text to where the mouse is pointing on the screen if you know what i mean. So i think somehow the mouse automatically positions and clicks itself. any ideas?
Has anyone come across this problem before? PLEASE HELP!. THANKS

You can adjust the speed, sensitivity, tapping speed, and touchcheck...

What does TouchCheck even do? I've Googled it extensively, but haven't found anything.

Oh yeah..and here I also learned this too...
Go to:
Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Mouse > Dell TouchPad > Click To Change The MousePad Settings > On the Bottom Check Display Icon In Task Bar..and it will Reappear!
Thanks Richard for the memory refresher!

Cheers for that, the problems fixed now. UR A TOP GEEZA!!!

You are certainly welcome!
Glad it's working!
Oh...whats a GEEZA...?

So wait, what exactly was the problem and what fixed it? Was your touchpad automatically registering clicks even though you weren't touching it?
-
That seemed to be the case. I assume he just cranked up the TouchCheck/PalmCheck settings to avoid accidental clicks.
-
I'm taking he tweaked the settings, and hes good to go now, also
