Question about the controls on the control strip. . .
When I touch the Mobility Center icon the program launches as it should. But when I touch the Instant Launch Control or the Audio Control buttons, nothing happens. The Quick Set driver has been installed.
    Any ideas?

What about the Realtek (sp?) driver for the audio control?

Installed. The sound system works fine. Just those two commands on the strip. Odd that the Mobility Center control works and the other two don't.

Dell Quickset activates the other 2 buttons. Mobility Center is part of Windows 7, and apparently it can pick this one up on its own. But install Dell Quickset and the other 2 will work, and the Mobility Center will have a bunch of stuff added to it as well.

EDIT: Just saw you said you installed Quickset. Are you sure you installed the new one and not one for an older system? I.E. did you install it off the drivers disc, or Dell Downloads for your service tag? If Dell Downloads, check to make sure the service tag is calling up the right system, Dell is famous for screwing that up.

matt, I took a second look and, yes, the QuickSet driver was installed but I had somehow unchecked it in the startup menu. Made the correction and the controls are working fine.
    Thank you.

Also had this problem and realised I had it turned off in Startup as well. Thanks, I was tearing my hair out over this!
