Calling all xps L501x or L502x owners.

I'm currently sitting on a normal 1366x768 screen and wondering if anywhere I can find a 1080p FHD screen.

Could any of you share knowledge of what LCD screen is it for the 15.6" 1080p LCD, the exact brand/model on the back of LCD, and the position of the 40pin header (either left or right)

    Thanks heaps!

I want to ask AUO B156HW01 V.4 is 100% same with Dell B+RG FHD ?

If yes, why dell upgrade need paid more US150 ? because just 1366x768 Screen 'Exchange To' FHD ?

I check the price dell default 1366x768 LCD Screen sell US220 and AUO B156HW01 V.4 About US150.

2 LCD price very closed, why dell need user paid more for upgrade?

Is the 1080p RGB screen on the XPS 15 anti-glare?

(From dell.com shopping in the USA)

    AUO B156HW01 V.4 is the anti-glare version

AUO B156HW01 V.7 is the glossy version Dell uses.

Be careful about buying it from a fraudulent online LCD reseller, because sometimes they'll ship you an inferior "compatible" screen that still works but isn't as good quality.

It's not just eBay, it's a lot of LCD resellers you find by googling the part number.

But if an eBay post guarantees it's the exact model (especially if it's an eBay listing from a NBR member), it should be fine.

And if you don't care about receiving the exact top-quality part and just want a compatible one, buying from a reseller is okay - just be sure to ask what model LCD you're getting, and that you're not paying more to get it through them from the the AUO V4/V7 listing than you would pay to get it from another properly-listed source.
