I have Intel Centrino Advanced N6230 WiFi card. The problem is that there is frequent disconnectivity in WiFi connection and lots of speed fluctuation. At first, I thought that there is some problem with the internet connection. But whenever I connect the modem using ethernet cable speed is constantly what it should be. However once I switch to WiFi the problems begins. The problem is the WiFI card/or driver. The internet connection is OK.

    How to solve this?

Have you tried the latest drivers from Intel?

Yes, I did it last night and haven't managed to check it yet. The version from Intel's website is 14.2.0.10 dated 8/3/2011. I see this in Device Manager -> 6230 card -> Driver details. Is this the latest one?

It's the card. It just sucks. horrible. Horrible. Horrible card. Apparently there has been some improvements with driver versions so hopefully the next revisions makes the card...you know, work? I'm not holding my breath.

Install intel drivers and don't let windows power manage the card.

I upgraded to an N-6230 I bought from Amazon and installed drivers from intel. No problems with it at all... unless I try to update the driver from the Dell site. Then horrible things happen.

What do you mean by "don't let Windows power manage the card"?
