My left speaker buzzes/clips when the volume is around ~75% with some sounds, I'm usually not picky, but they have been replaced twice.
Original: Clip/buzz
First replacement: Perfect, mobo died the next morning
Second replacement: Clip/buzz (they decided to replace the speakers and palmrest for some reason when they did the mobo)
Anyone know anything?
Edit: Anyone know if there's a way in the software to put a limit on what 100% volume is? I'm a bit paranoid about blowing the speakers, I just want them to work and not have to worry about it.

Just spoke to Dell tech support, they gave me the option of Dell Depot (7-10 business days, I leave the country for ~1.5 years in around that to another country)
Or, sending the tech to replace, the motherboard, the speakers, the palm rest, the hdd, the ac adapter....Goodness.
I picked the only possible one, but I said I wanted to do the replacement myself.
So I have my doubts.
I was thinking it might have to do with some sort of interference on the left side of the notebook, but they didn't respond if it's a common issue.
I don't have much hope for this new idea, but it's the best option I have currently.
Does anyone else have the issue? Would any sort of shielding or modification help this?
Anyone? -

Exactly the same problem I have with my right speaker too. I called dell service because of that buzzes and some fan clattering problem they change my speaker and fan that fix my fan problem but my sound problem nothing change. They said to me ,if this isnt fix your sound problem you can give your notebook to our service in your country to examine. And i am not sure to give it or not.
And i have another problem after that i think my notebook temperature get little bit higher maybe its only wishful thinking.I suspect the technican use low quality thermal paste when opened my laptop to change fan and speaker. For example i play duke nukem forever and for 15-20 minutes cpu temperature see 95 celcius time to time also in portal 2 before dell service in portal it see only 85 celcius but now it see 95 celcius time to time too.Maybe the problem is new nvidia driver version 275.33,i used version 270.61 before. And sorry for language mistakes i am not american^^ -
@khankhan: You certainly shouldn't be getting heat like that from such a short playtime unless the ambient temperature is through the roof or the notebook is sitting in such a way the fan isn't able to do it's job.
It sounds most likely related to the paste. -
Anyone have any suggestions? Would a piece of sticky metal or whatnot for some sort of shielding help?

95 is what I get on all four cores after running prime95 with 8 threads on the CPU and Furmark on the GPU. But that's after it's been running full tilt like that for 30 minutes or more. The laptop itself doesn't really get that hot. But man oh man the exhaust from the fan on the left side is uber-hot I can tell ya. But the dang L502x is truely a screamer. And strong too. As for the buzzing, not sure what to tell ya. Mine doesn't do it, even at full volume. Sorry.

jalabee (i think that is your name i looked away for a minute) yes, i've had almost exactly the same experience as you have. I just sent my computer, l502x, back to dell for left speaker rattle/buzz as well as a general assessment, needed because some idiot at my school decided to sit on my laptop, which had spent approx five seconds on a chair while i was clearing desk space..i digress.
According to the checklist i received from dell when my computer was returned to me a few days ago, the only work the technicians performed while my computer was in the shop was some tightening up of the screen bevel (i guess it had becomes slightly disconnected from the screen, no biggie, it's fixed). What they did not mention working on, but where i do actually see slight improvement, is in the left speaker. The problem is that it is still buzzing mildly, and this is unacceptable in a high quality, high price product like the xps15. I don't know what else to say to them, aside from try harder to make a product without defects. I don't think saying this will get my computer fixed.
This issue is most noticeable when you:
Click on the taskbar icon for speaker
Click on the Speaker Icon directly above the volume control knob/volume range indicator
This will take you to properties. Click Advanced, note the kb/s and Hz, then click "test" which is located next to the aforementioned info
...when i do this i hear a noticeable discordant sound coming from the left speaker on a particular one of the tones which is played. How could dell not have noticed this? Isn't this the first thing a dell tech would do, use the most basic, built in speaker test software? So in the end, unless i want to really off dell and keep sending my computer in for an incomplete fix, i'm going to sit on my dissatisfaction and buy a different computer next time, or at least test more extensively during the first month of use, which is the time period dell allows for returns of undamaged merchendise. In conclusion, their JBL speaker system has a design flaw somewhere, and until someone important decides that this is important, we are simply f'd.
