I just recently a nice bookshelf speakers+amp set and they sound amazing plugged into my laptop. Unfortunately I'm too poor for a decent sub atm. The internal sub obvious won't compare, but it would be really nice if I could utilize it along with my external speakers. I wouldn't even mind if the built in speakers played too.

So basically I would like to have the build in speaker system playing along with external speakers plugged in. Ideally only the internal sub is active and the internal speakers deactivated, but its not that big of a deal.

I would appreciate it if any one can figure this out

I created a thread on this. Please post in that thread, to help show Dell that there's still interest in this.

A Dell employee said he would investigate if there's demand.

    On Dell XPS 15 L502x

Many of us want to be able to plug in external speakers, but still have the laptop's own on-board speakers work at the same time. There have been several threads about this over the last few years.

For full explanation, please read first post of this thread:

Honestly, any bookshelf speakers probably have better low-end than the internal sub.

Your dismissive post is not welcome.

The OP wants to have the on-board woofer and speakers play in addition to the external speakers. That's a reasonable request, as even when externals are better the on-board speakers can be a useful supplement. Many XPS 15 owners have asked for such functionality.
