Just became a new owner of the xps 15, Everything is going good thus far (managed to both introduce and fix the fan throttling: GPU gadget)
But for the life of me can't seem to get any sound out of the subwoofer. In sound settings(both wave max and windows default) tried testing it to no avail. Also the speaker setup defaults to stereo. There is no dedicated 2.1 option just 5.1 minus back speakers can be toggled.

    Tried driver reinstall, didn't help.

Can anyone show how their sound settings look like or give any tips.

    Thank you,
    Ats

Have you got the latest Realtek drivers installed from the the Dell site? I don't think the sub will work if you are just using Intel audio drivers. Look in Control Panel > Sound. The playback device should be Realtek. If it is select Properties and the Levels tab which on mine is the second one along. In there I've got controls for Sub, rear and centre although I think this is just for a surround setup.

    EDIT

In the startmenu there should also be Dell Audio by Realtek in the Dell Audio folder. Make sure WavesMaxxAudio is turned on.
