    Hi everyone.

I am using the color profile posted for the L502x...although it looks fantastic an annoying problem occurs everytime I sleep or reboot the computer.

When the L502x reboots or sleep the original sRGB profile is loaded and not the calibrated (Spyder) profile.

Is there a work around or method to make the Spyder Calibrated permanent?

Also is there a way to disable bluetooth?

    Thanks a million.

    Two things to do:

Enable the profile for the system, not just yourself, checking the box to load color calibrations to make sure it loads it.

Remove "igfxpers.exe" from the Startup programs (registry or msconfig).

Alittle off topic, but how do I install a profile that I just downloaded? I double clicked the file but I am not sure if the profile applied or not? How can I make sure?

    Thanks.

Thank you DakkonA, it works perfectly.

On another note, do you (or anybody) know how to disable bluetooth?

In the BIOS settings under advanced options I believe. It's under the wireless options.

I'm using the newest bios A04 for the L502x and there's no option to disable bluetooth in bios.

Which bios or software allows for disabling of bluetooth?

BTW, I just did a clean install for an SSD on the L502x.

Since the bluetooth is integrated with the WiFi card, there isn't a way to independently turn Bluetooth off.

FarKeld: give it a bit. Your eyes may be used to the old colors. But it's also possible your screen is different enough that it needs a different calibration.

css_jay99: Check out the first post on the XPS 15 owner's lounge thread.

I'm having the same problem. Apparently the .icm file uses a program named Microsoft Color Control Panel but it doesn't launch and I can't find any info on it. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Professional, if that is important.

Same thing for me, i use spyder3elite colorimeter, but get a green cast (on every screen i used). seems like a faulty unit to me.. i'm on a chat with a datacolor technician, but they reply really slow, usally once a day

but here's what i was told to do not to interfere my spyder3 profiles with the GPU: first press windows button + r and type msconfig, than go to startup menu and diactivate the following

    hkcmd.exe
    igfxtray.exe
    igfxpers.exe
    NVIDIA Hotkey entry

    HEllo!

1st post here! and my intention is not to steal the thread, but...

here seems to be a lot of info about l502x, and after reading through some posts, I downloaded that profile spyder2express, but I don't understand how and where do you exactly add it to be the default profile. Colour managment and then...? what do you do in "Devices" tab and "advanced"to set it as default?

and other question - how and where do you do the calibration process on this screen? (i have l502x with that 1080p wide gamut display). i simply can't find it, but i have been sitting too long on not colour corrected screen and I am working with photography and which is a crime from my side...

sorry, if these question overlay with maybe similar ones in other threads, but it's rather hard to navigate through them to find the answer.
