    Hey everyone,

I have one of the L502x laptops that keep crashing when plugged in and gaming . They have sent me one motherboard that failed to fix the problem and I have another one arriving tomorrow that I hope will clear this problem. Anyway, I would appreciate the help with two questions.

    1. Dell has offered me a full refund if this motherboard does not correct the error. However, I have lost my original memory and do not recall the brand. Can someone provide the manufacturer of original dell RAM and/or a picture of it?

    2. Has anyone actually had the crashing issue corrected with a new motherboard?

    Thanks everyone!

My 502x currently crashes while gaming. I have strong reason to believe it is an issue with the discrete graphics card.

I'm not sure I completely understand your issue. Does it crash simply by plugging it in, or do you have to be gaming for it to crash. If the latter, its probably an issue with the graphics card, in which case theres a decent chance a mobo replacement can help.

On a side note, can you describe the process you took for them to give you a new mobo. I would really like to get this done without spending hours doing stupid, redundant trouble shooting.

edit: theres also a pretty high chance that the crashing is due to your RAM.

Don't guess. Run some memory-testing software to find out.
