The ISO I'm using is en-gb_windows_8_1_x64_dvd_2707421.iso and I used Rufus to create a GPT partitioned UEFI boot USB stick FAT32 formatted.

Using the A12 modified BIOS and UEFI is enabled.

When deleting all partitions in the Windows 8.1 installer screen, click next, it hangs at "getting files ready for installation 0%.

So I shut down the laptop and start installation again.

This time 4 partitions have been created successfully as per the previous installation attempt, click next, it no longer hangs at "getting files ready for installation...".

Anyone know why this is the case?

It seems Windows 8.1 installation continue properly if the partitions haven't been created beforehand and not from a blank unallocated disk.
