It's my first time owning a notebook with internal battery. With my previous E6500, I can remove battery or disable charging (Fn-F2) at any time. But now, things changed. Dell offered Battery Meter for managing charging, but I don't know how it works, and I also want to know how the battery life can be prolonged.
Now each time I plug in charger, it starts charging, I set Desktop Mode in Battery Meter, but it seems not working? It is always charged to 100%. There is another tab in Battery Meter called 'Longevity Mode', but it is dimmed.
I hope people with experience can give some advice. Thanks.
