Since getting my XPS 17 I've noticed that when I open websites or images that are very dark in color the screen automatically dims itself. Upon switching to a light colored website, like google, the screen seems very dark and slowly increases in brightness. Is there any way to stop this behavior?

Sorry for the necro but was hoping someone had found an answer to this. It annoys the heck out of me also.

Same thing here. I only noticed it today since I was running on battery.

Disable dynamic brightness when on battery via the intel cp.
