    Hello,

I've bought an SSD drive an did clean windows installation of Win7 Pro x64. I have Virgin Media with Linksys wifi g router. I never had any issues with previous windows however Ive noticed that media streaming was very slow with a clean windows install.

I tried to watch a game online via sopcast or web browser unfortunately the connection was so slow that I could not stream anything.

Whenever I start streaming a media via sop cast the internet connection goes much slower. I tried pinging google during media streaming and replies slows down to (around 2000ms). When I close sopcast they come back to 40ms.

The same happens whenever I try to download a large file from the internet.

I tried reinstalling the latest drives from Dell, disabled N and put speed to maxium on Power option Wifi card properties however nothing seems to help.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

    Try rebooting your router yet?

i think you would be better installing the drivers directly from intel themselves as they will be alot more up to date than the dell drivers give them a go and report back here is the link jus click whatever version of operating system you have and install http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+Centrino%C2%AE+Wi-Fi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Centrino%C2%AE+Advanced-N+6230&ProdId=3315&LineId=1784&FamilyId=1783

I would not go through the hardware route as it was working fine before I reinstalled windows - i would rather say that there is something to do the drivers, settings

Worth a try...sometimes the routers get loaded up and need a reboot after a couple weeks to flush them clean. Easy fixes are always nice, too bad it didn't work here.

I'd uninstall the drivers for it, run Driver Sweeper or similar to get ALL of the parts of it out, and try the latest Intel driver for that card (or if that is the one you used, try the Dell one instead).

Disable bluetooth if possible and set all performance / power settings to max
