Hey guys so I just bought a perfectly fine Studio XPS 1640 off of a guy locally, but the LCD is broken, he said that he has the 1920 x 1080 resolution, and i have a few questions because I am confused..
First of all, I measured it with a measuring tape and it is exactly 16", and it has a piece of clear plastic/glass over the entire front screen (including the Bezel), so which LCD out there can I buy so it will be compatible? I thought the Studio XPS's LCDs are 15.6", and why is there a 1920 x 1200 resolution out there?
I'm looking to get this one, is it okay?

If its 16" and 1080 then its the RGB screen. You may have a hard time getting one - perhaps ebay.
Item number: 330431751718 -
So is (eBay Item number: 330431751718) the right one? The seller only told me that it is a WUXGA and it is 16" when I asked him 15.6" or 16"...
-
wuxga would be 1080, not 720 those are the only 2 resolutions in 16 inch. I would ask what the native res is - the term wuxga actually refers to 16x10 size in 1920x ... in 16x9 it would be refered to as 1080
-
Oh so there are 2 resolutions in the 16" studio xps LCD? one being 1920x1080 and the other one being 1366 x 768?
But the WUXGA would be the 1920x1080 one correct? The title of the ebay listing says WLED, which bothers me, aren't the WLED ones 15.6"? -

the 1080 WLED is 15.6 not 16..

So according to the seller, which said the LCD is 16", this would be the RGBLED 1920x1080 correct?
Thanks guys for the help! -
The seller describes as uwxga... which would indicate full HD - and if its Full HD and 16 inches =RGB.
I saw one sold for 65.00 on Ebay a month back -almost bought for a spare... until the majority of units are out of warranty spare parts are cheaper
