Wow, I haven't even received the laptop... and I'm already complaining. LOL

I've heard from other laptop forums and my friends that there is a considerable difference between LG LCD screen and Samsung LDC screen, even if the spec of the screen are identical. I've tried to ask how I can increase my chance to get LG brand, but they said I won't know until I receive the laptop in July.

I spent good $1300 (Tax included) on this, and I plan to get it as best as possible. For any M1530 owners with LG screen, did you just get it by luck? What are the chances? And if you are kind enough to share, how did you replace your Samsung screen with LG brand? I was told from Dell service that they cannot guarantee LG screen even if I return my laptop.

How would I know if I will get LG screen? Would there be a paper mentioning the brand?

    Thanks in advance,
    John

PS: This was my general spec.

I heard you can see the product number by logging on Dell website and seeing the assembled parts of your computer, but that does't tell much. I know for a fact when you receive it, you can go to Device Manager and check on "Hardware Ids". If it's SECXXXX you got Samsung, and so forth.

Search and read on it because people have post this many times in the forums.

Is there any way you can get your screen replaced once you have had the laptop for more than 7 days? (return period here)

    With normal warranty
