    Hello Guys,
Well I recently have been trying to watch a few DVDs and a few AVI movies. But its however not possible to watch any. Since the videos will just lagg every 2 seconds for a half a second and then keep playing.
This will make enjoying any movie impossible.

I have figured out however that if I keep moving the window where the movie is beeing played it will not lag. Weird isng it?

    Any solutions will be appreciated.

    Cheers

it definitely shouldn't lag especially not from DVD/AVI movies..
by default, windows 7 should play these videos flawlessly. also make sure you have no additionally codecs installed.
for a perfect performance, i recommend to use dxva for video playback which means your GPU plays the videos smoothly while your CPU is idling, more info here:

    Try a few things,

First go download CCCP - http://www.cccp-project.net/

It will install all the codecs you need and give you some good players. Try to play the DVD with Media Player Classic included in that download.

If you still have issues, you can try VLC Player as well.

Also make sure your plugged in, maybe you have an agressive power save mode that cuts down your cpu/gpu to very low performance levels when not plugged in.

Report back after trying to let us know if your fixed or still need more help.
