    Hi,

I have an order for the XPS 1645 16" and am wondering what bag you guys would recommend.

Ideally I'm after something lightweight and not a heavy duty briefcase style if I can help it.
    I see loads of bags for 15.6" and 17" - should I err towards a 17" one?

I'm in the UK, so have been looking at what Amazon offer, this one seems popular:

    Any views?

    Thanks

    Hey!

    That's a nice one! :) I would get it for my 1640!

I got this one for mine: Belkin Black 15.6" Messenger
    Works great!

And, this one is pretty nice! Dell 16" Messenger

Here is a helpful thread for you to also check! ;)

Cases and Bags for the Dell 1340 and 1640

I also have the Swiss Gear Synergy backpack I used for my XPS 1530, I can still use it for my 1640, if I wanted...but the fit is "tight". I will need to use a good Neoprene Sleeve for Protection. I would move up to a Wenger, By Swiss Gear prolly ~ in a Backpack.

    Hope that helps!

I myself like my Tumi Tech Laptop Backback. I got the Arctic Silver SXPS 1645 and the Tumi Tech Orange/Gray backpack. Runs about $100 when on sale.

I love my Wenger Swiss Army bag. It is very high quality and fits the SXPS 16 perfectly. It is well padded too. I got mine at Bestbuy.com for $65, but Dell.com sells it for $34.99. Dell USA seems to be out of stock at the moment (UK might have them), Best Buy also has them. Hope this helps!

I'm using a Jansport backpack with a slot made for 17", works perfect for my 1640. I don't know the model of the backpack, but it was like $70...

Thanks for all your replies. I'm sorely tempted with the Belkin range,

Although I notice on an unboxing vid on YouTube that it comes with a sleeve? If that's the case, that might do me.

    Thanks

It does come with a sleeve (, but the sleeve that I received with my 1640 was very "thin" (like a thin cover). It is not something I would consider 100% protective.

Not sure if the sleeve you receive with the 1645/1647 is any different. :)
