    Hey guys,

Whilst waiting for my XPS 16 to arrive I was having a ook around at some carrying bags and/or luggage bags for this laptop. And I was wondering whether anybody had any recommendations for a good stury high-quality bag that tightly holds this lappy.

Ideally it should have some extra space for clothes for a few days but that is not a necessity.

I'm also looking for something black (or black with red lines) made of good material (leather would be nice) but nothing too classic or bland either.

The Targus Platinum Roller bag caught my attention (but this may only be for up to 15,4" screens - the XPS 16 'might' figt): http://www.targus.com/Uk/product_details.asp?sku=TER009EU

    What would you guys suggest?

It might fit. According to the specs, the Studio XPS 16 looks to be around 2cm wider than the bag's interior dimensions. However, there might be enough room to squeeze it in. This has been the case with any bags I have used previously.

In your post you list 15.4 but when you click on the link you provide it says 15.6. Not that it matters but I have found the our Studio XPS 16 fits better into the 15.6 category as far as cases, sleeves and bags and what not. I ordered a 16" sleeve for mine and it seems like its a good inch-inch 1/2 too big, even with the 9-cell, there is still room length wise. My buddy gave me his old dell leather carry bag that was meant for 15"s and the xps16 fits perfectly. Also my roomate has a 15.6" sleeve and it fits my xps16 way better than my 16" sleeve.

The point is, I think you're safe and I personally would go for as I've discovered that 15.6" is the best fit for our laptop (I obviously haven't tested EVERYTHING out there by every brand, it was just an observation I made after trying 3 different products and noticing the 15.6s were best fit)

I have got a nice Crumpler bag for about four years now for 17" Notebooks (Had a Precision M90 before) that fits my Notebook very well.

Yep, go with 15.6" or 16" NOT 15.4", my old laptop was a 15.4 and dell replaced it with the SXPS 16 and it won't fit in my 15.4 sleeve and the old bag is a tight fit...but it is an LL Bean bag from 1998? meant for old 15" fullscreens, the metal rings have significant wear grooves in them, but the bag itself has held up awesome, given 12+ years of continual use, if they still sold it i'd buy another one...
