Does anyone use a Laptop Power Bank that will work with my Dell XPS 13 L322X so I can use it away from a AC outlet. If so, how long will this keep my Dell XPS 13 L322X running before needing to be recharged?

For an example I take a 12 hour flight from Seattle to Hong Kong and like to use my laptop during that time.

I sure hope I don't have to wait for 1,722 Views like Clayton did to get a reply!

I think you're going to be hard pressed to find many still running the L322X and the chances of them having a power bank are even less. How long does your current battery last? The Dell Notebook Power Bank Plus (18,000 mAh) - PW7015L may work on your laptop since it seems to work on the same laptops listed in the Dell auto/air adapter for your laptop. Speaking of which, is power available on the flights you take? If so, have you considered an adapter for that?

I thought power banks were universal?
My old battery last less than 2 hours, while the new one I installed only last 3 hours, a bit disappointing. This laptop has an internal battery. Takes about 5-10 minutes to install. I didn't see where there was power available the last time I flew to Hong Kong last year?

There are universal power banks, but finding one that will work with your Dell may be difficult. Newer Dell laptops sense the authenticity of the power adapter that is attached. I don't know if yours does or not though.

If your internal battery only lasts 3 hours then I don't see a power bank getting you to the 12 hour mark, you may get another 4-6 hours.

Power in the airplane depends on the company and likely the class you fly in.

OKAY, now I get it. Yep, mine does that too. I found out when I bought a so called "genuine" battery and got this message at startup:
"Warning: The battery is not recommended battery. The system will
unable to charge this battery. Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup the utility.

I found the easy way to fix this battery warning at startup.
When you start the laptop, keep tapping F2 until the BIOS screen shows up.
    Then scroll right to Advanced.
Then scroll down to Adapter Warnings.
    Change enabled to Disabled.
    Then scroll to EXIT
Make sure "Exit Saving Changes" is selected, then hit "Enter" on keyboard, then "Yes".
That's it! Now battery works great without that warning at startup.

That should work for the power bank too. I hate it when Dell forces you to buy their more expensive batteries etc. I've bought aftermarket for years with many other laptops with no problem.
So, that said, what do you recommend works? 4-6 more hours would be great! I don't need the most expensive, but one that works. eBay has a lot of them, so I need t weed them out.

    Thanks!

That's the problem, I don't know what will work for your L322X. Sadly I think the chances of finding someone on here that knows first hand is slim to none... Ebay has a great buyer protection coverage. If you find one that says it works with your L322X and it doesn't, you could send it back.

Looks like that is what I'll have to do... between Paypal & eBay, I've never had a problem with returns... in fact had one two weeks ago on a battery I ordered... that seller said just keep it to save a shipping it back.

So I should look for a USB-C PD power banks that support output power 45W at 20V for my Dell XPS 13 L322X ?

If it supports USB-C charging then that's the way to go, I wasn't aware it had usb-c???

Yeah your laptop will not charge with usb-c since it doesn't have a usb-c port. You'll have to find a bank with a Dell power connector. I would measure the size of your current barrel connector to ensure you buy the correct one.

One of the questions I forgot to post was, can the laptop be used while power unit is charging it like the regular charger does? Or is it for charging the battery only?
