I've been reading all the threads regarding negotiating with Dell to bring the price down. But, I'm not having any luck. I found a few codes online but the reps are saying that they can't stack those discounts. One even suggested placing the order online for the XPS 15 since he couldn't go beyond 9% off despite talking with his manager.

So, what is actually possible? I'm not sure if what I'm expecting is too much or if I'm not going about it in the right way. In the threads, I've read discounts of 30%. Is that possible in the UK?

Best i could get was 9%, but thats fine by me. The fhd 16gb 512gb i7 for £1280ish seems like a bloody good deal.
I think i could have got a sleave or mouse or something if i pushed a bit, but i dont really need either

Are you watching Dell Outlet? I haven't seen many XPS15 9550's but currently there is a selection of the Precision 5510 which is essentially the same although GPU is the business certified version. The Precisions have a 3 year next day warranty included in the price.

Keep an eye on Ebay for refurbished models, I got mine there and honestly couldn't tell it was refurbished or had been used at all:
    Dell XPS 15 9550 3.5 i7, 16GB, 1TB ... Dell XPS 15 9550 3.5 i7, 16GB, 1TB PCIe SSD, 4K ,6 Cell Battery,1YR WARRANTY £1,349.99

This was back in April so I imagine they're cheaper now, they also has models for cheaper with less/no SSD and/or less memory.

The student discount is 10% too, and you could always go to the Outlet, there are some pretty nice discounts, and those refurbished products are probably even better than new as they had to fix them if they had any problem

Edit: If you register in Unidays, as a student, you can get a 15% discount on UK Dell
Edit2: MB, seems like its over alredy
