I've noticed that on my keyboard, the left arrow key doesn't register every press, I have to press harder than the other keys for it to register. Any quick fixes for this or is the key shot?

I have not been impressed with this keyboard at all. It's my 3rd one (first two replaced due to the spacebar issue). Last Dell I will be purchasing.

Push the corner of a sheet of paper into the gap between the key cap and the hole and move it round the key cap to make sure nothing is sticking. This may also dislodge any dirt under the key cap. Running over the keyboard with a proper vacuum cleaner might also help to remove any dirt.

The underlying problem is that this notebook has a reduced travel keyboard which makes it more difficult to use than a keyboard with more travel and probably also makes it more vulnerable to problems. I would happily accept an extra millimetre of notebook thickness and have a keyboard with a millimetre more travel.

If this was a replacement keyboard that I received just a few months ago and now my laptop is no longer under warranty, will they replace the keyboard given that the replacement is now faulty? I'm assuming there's no warranty on replacement parts beyond the original warranty of the laptop?
