I recently did a manula reformat of my M1730 and everything works fne but having a problem with the light FX.
I set them to sapphire blue using quick tune but when ever i restart the machine or fire it up for the first time the light are different. The left speaker is orange and the right one and touch pad are crimson red. Then has soon has it boots into windows they will go back to my setting of sapphire blue.
Do they have to be set in the bios or somewhere else in order to always have them the colour i picked even when restarting?

Use Dell quickset to enforce the colour the match, under the Gaming tab.

Hi thx for help i had set them in the bios and then i so the option to lock them at start up in quick tune=)
    O well
One more question i was playing with windows vista option and i set my power plan to performance since the laptop is always plugged in and never runs on battery.
I remember on my old Sony Vaio wile playing with windows vista option i found an option that allowed me to set my ram to to 667mhz and it was set to default at 400mhz ( or a number close to this can`t rember exactly) i wouldn`t want that since i manually reinstalled windows my ram not running at full capabilities because of some power option.
    Anyone familiar with this?

Never heard of anything like that. Intel speedstep will throttle cpu performance on battery saving schemes, but never heard of ram being throttled.
