Hi, while replacing the top cover on my XPS m1530 i broke the little black securing tab that attaches the central control cover cable to the connector.

Does anyone know if this bit can be replaced?

Call Dell and ask for spare parts. Explain which part you need to replace and they're usually good at finding it. I've done it about a half a dozen times and they were wrong only once.

The little tiny black tab that you fold down over the cable? I doubt it. You'll probably just have to get another replacement control cover.
