While I wait for my RMA to go through with my screen... I'm going to turn my sites towards installing more RAM. I got 4gig of RAM with my XPS14, but am looking for the following info:

1- A link to NEWEGG with the CORRECT RAM to purchase (a 4 gig stick)

2- The location of the RAM in the XPS14 (before I go stripping off the back, I'd like to know where to go.)

    THANKS all

1-Any of the RAM in the link below will work:

    Newegg-204 Pin DDR3 RAM-4gb

2-There are only 2 panels on the bottom, it's under the panel located in the center and it shows a small icon that looks kind of like a RAM stick.

Your XPS 14 likely has 2x 2GB sticks of RAM in it, not 1x 4GB stick, so if you want to upgrade to 8GB, you will need 2x4GB sticks, not just 1. Look in the 3 or 4 other threads on this board that have been posted over the last few days asking what type of RAM you need, and read what it says. It's different depending on if you have a dual i3/5/7 or a quad i7 CPU.

To bring this back from the dead, anyone have a good suggestion as to what tool to get the screws off for the RAM compartment? The screws are very small (I was trying to use an eyeglass repair kit, but I felt like I was just stripping the screws). People can save the "screwdriver" comments, thanks.

Go get a small screw driver set from Radio Shack.

JFYI, for anyone who has 4GB of RAM in their XPS14, you might have these sticks in your machine.
