    Hi All

Its my first post and i've tried searching but cannot find the info i'm after. I got my Studio XPS13 today and installed Windows 7 64 Bit on it. I have installed all the drivers ok but i cannot get the connection software anywhere to use the WWAN. Maybe it's late and i'm missing it somewhere but would anybody be able to point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks

    Ben

    Hi all

Thought i would post an update, i tried both two Dell tools, the Ericsson one and communication center and still no luck....... I found the vodafone connection utility but it wouldn't let me configure a new profile so i'm still stuck.

I would really appreicate any guidence if somebody has been through this.

    Thanks

    Ben

    Hi

Apologies for the poor quality post! lol I was writing that post while cooking dinner ;-)

I'm in the UK and I have tried a BT Mobile, o2 and T-mobile sim in the 5530.

    Thanks

I personally just have it setup as a Windows dial up connection. I tried all the connection utilities, Dell, Vodafone etc and none of them worked properly. The connection was flaky and download speeds were rubbish. With the Windows connection it works perfectly!

I didn't come across that Ericsson one though so might give that a whirl.. I'm in the UK with a Vodafone sim btw.

I am in the UK as well and also on Vodafone.

I have tried the Dell Control Point and the Vodafone Mobile Connect software. I find that when using the Vodafone s/w it seems to give me a better connection.

Is the 5530 locked to Vodafone or can you stick any SIM card in it?

What version of the Vodafone software are you using? I tried a few different versions but I couldn't get any to work with the 5530.
