    Hello,

First of all I'd like to appologize if sth would be hard to undertsand. It's quite hard to describe such sophisticated problem with my poor English.

OK, so I have had my M1530 for abut half a year. At the very beginning I noticed that the screen is not very stiff, for example I the screen lid can be moved by about 2 cm almost with no effort (with one finger) also the he hinges (the bar inside) moves up few millimeters when closing the lid. It's noticeable when looking at the hinge, and also I can feel that from the force used to move the screen for first 2 cm. The problem des not seem to increase and for the first time I thought its normal, but some time ago I saw an identical XPS without that problem. Also the plastic near the hinges tend to give cracking noise when closing the lid. Mosty flet Hing ais affected

Is this sth worth bothering Dell ? It does not diisturb me at work, but It's not what i axpected from laptop of that class. Does dissembling the laptop (according to dell service instruction its only 3 screws to expose the hinges and check if they are mounted properly) will cause me to lose my NBD warrantee?

Thx for help and sorry for my English.

Yes, it is worth it for you to *disturb* Dell. Remember, you are the Customer ;)

Contact Dell and let them fix this for you...I am assuming that you have a warranty. If so, I think you should make use of it. :D

    Cin ;) :)

That happens to my 1530 every few months.
The 4 screws holding the screen just need to be re-tightened.
