Ive had this lappy for well over a year now and constant picking up and moving has left the lid feeling a little loose. Is there any way i can tighten it up and take up the slack so to speak, it travels a good cm either way before it "grips" and adopts the position you want it to.

    regards.

Take a look at the process to remove the hinge cover HERE.

Once you have removed the hinge cover, tighten the four M2.5 x 5-mm screws (two on each side) that connect the display to the computer base. See this picture and look at #3. This will give you the location of the M2.5 x 5-mm screws.

Once you tighten them, with the display open all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against the work surface, snap the cover back into place, starting from left to right.

This should tighten the LCD a bit. If there is still a lot of play, you may have to replace the hinges.

    Hope this helps.
