Sorry, I'm not really technologically savvy (wish I were though!) but I'm having a serious issue with my XPS m140. My screen is actually loose. I didn't really know this could happen but just the slightest tap of the screen forward or backward (and I mean slightest) it flops a good inch or two in the opposite direction. If I'm sitting on the couch with it on my lap it'll just fall forward onto my fingers and the keys. Anyone know what causes this kind of problem or how to fix it?! I'd appreciate any help!! THANKS!!!

Well, check the hinges; you may be able to pop a plastic cover off and tighten the nuts on the hinges.

Your screen hinges are loose. I think there is a screw you can tighten to fix this type of a problem. But you have to take apart few components to access these screws. Take a look at Service guide instructions for removing the display assembly. You don't have to remove everything, just take off the silver color display bezel around the screen then you’ll have access to the hinge. Look around for a screw or a nut.. I think there should be one.

I've done this on my old Dell before...worked fine. :) I think it should just be a nut at the outer end of either hinge.
