I have the Dell SXPS 16 with the P8700 and radeon 4670. Still I can barely push 5000 in 3dmark06. I've never seen a 3dmark06 score below 6k with these components. I've been trying to update all the drivers but nothing works. And it's not a heating issue as my gpu and cpu runs around about 50 degrees (after alot of extra work).

Has anyone experienced the same problem or does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

    thanks

call Dell, seems you have a faulty card (or Motherboard)

(everything about "formate your HD" - "clean install" - "latest driver" ...bla..bla...shouldn't matter 1500 points in 3dmark06.....it just maximum some hundred points we talking about to do this things)
