    Oh Sweet niceness! :D

Yes you have *21 days from date of invoice* to return for refund or replacement! :D

You can still cancel the order, since you just recently placed it..but you need to act *quickly*, as the Outlet ships fairly swiftly!

    Cin ;) :)

Maybe not THAT much of a goof up, I got similar specs with the BD-ROM for $1250, BD is usually about a $200 upgrade. Either way a great deal!!! Mine should be delivered tomorrow morning.

Thanks for all your input.I finally had time to go over the specs in detail - and it appears to be what I initially described.
The only thing it weird is a line that states power DVD for Blue Ray? Maybe I got a Blue Ray (or maybe just the software).
Now I got a warm and fuzzy instead of a OMG what have I done! feeling thanks to your input.

I'm in the market for a 1640 myself, but hesitant to go with the outlet store. Is the quality close to new, or can you tell its a refurbished laptop? Is it worth the saved money?

I'm not sure for Dell, but my general experience with refurbished is it's the same quality a new product will be after one use.

My experience (a sample of 2) is that the ones labeled "refurbished" are indistinguishable from new, save for the small sticker on the bottom. My old M140 was shipped will all new accessories in sealed packaging. So was my borther-in-law's Inspiron.

Those labeled Scratch and Dent might be another story however.

Well I rec'd my 1640 from the outlet store.
    Ordered on the 8th at 6pm - recd on the 10th at 9am - 40 hr delivery!!!
I have yet to find anything that indicate this was refurbished other than the sticker on the bottom and the packaging. It is in new/mint condition!!
I saved $550 over the exact same one I configured that day.
Now I am trying to tone down the RED on the RGB screen as my grand daughter loves Elmo (the reddest puppet on the planet) but I think I will go blind or have a seizure if I don't fix it soon.
