Hello guys. I bought an M1210 without the webcam.
What I want to do now is modify the screen case and fit a webcam. My problem is that I've taken the entire thing apart, looked at the motherboard and the back of the screen and I cannot find there the webcam plug is for the stock camera.
Does anyone have any idea? The Dell disasembly guide shows a short ribbon like cable going off to the right, but I find no port for it nor does the guide give more detail. :/

that links to the disassembly guide.

you CANNOT add an internal webcam in by yourself because the case does not support it. I mean, there is no where that you can sneak a webcam in, take a look:

NO webcam: http://techreport.com/r.x/dell-xps-m1210/on-couch.jpg
see the difference? if you want a webcam, I recommend you buy an external one which runs on USB power. -
any one ever taken theirs apart?
