I have a Dell M1210 XPS with Windows XP and Media Direct. It was working fine and i accidentally pressed the media direct button. I exited Media Direct and then my system cannot boot with XP anymore. It works fine with Media Direct. I tried restoring factory default in Media Direct but that does not solve the problem.

Is it just not allow you to boot into XP? Have you tried booting by pressing the Media Direct button again? It seems to work as a toggle sometimes.

Only the media direct button will response and it will boot to media direct every time I pressed the button. Also, every time I unplug and plug power back in (with only battery, with only AC, or with both), Media direct will automatically starts up itself. I can still access my files in the hard drive in Media Direct though.

The power button wouldn't response at all so it does nothing when I press it.
