I'm using a 9-cell extended battery with my m1330, and have recently noticed that it charges extremely slowly when i plug in the power adapter. As in, 1% per hour. It does, however, hold a solid charge when I disconnect the laptop from AC power.
I think this is a battery issue and will need to have the battery replaced, but I wanted to know if this might also be an AC adaptor issue. Just prior to the battery not charging, I accidentally stepped on my ac adaptor's plug and bent the prongs out of place. I bent the prongs back into their correction positions, but I'm not sure if that totally fixed it. Could my battery's charging issue be caused by this potentially faulty ac adaptor? It would make things easier because then I would only need to replace the adaptor rather than the battery, which is probably 3x as expensive.![]()
thanks!

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Hard to say much about this one. Bent prongs (I'm assuming this is on the outlet side of the AC adapter?) shouldn't affect the performance of the AC adapter. It's quite the coincidence that the battery would stop charging right after this happened, though. Could be that your power circuitry is giving out as well...
Does the battery charge any faster if the notebook is plugged in and turned off? -
If you need to replace the battery please let me know
